Enhancing Economic Development

Dartmouth Technology Transfer serves as a bridge between Dartmouth investigators and industry to ensure that Dartmouth technologies are actively transferred to the public.

In addition to negotiating options and license agreements to Dartmouth technologies, we work with the Dartmouth Office of Sponsored Projects in reviewing and negotiating Sponsored Research Agreements (SRAs), Small Business Technology Transfer Agreements (STTRs), Small Business Innovation Research (SBIRs) and other industry sponsored or partnered collaborations.

We also handle the transfer of materials to and from industry for evaluation and/or research purposes under Material Transfer and Confidentiality Agreements.

Dartmouth Technology Transfer welcomes proposed commercialization of Dartmouth technologies from start-ups initiated within and outside of Dartmouth College. We routinely execute Confidentiality Agreements and negotiate options and licenses with young companies in accordance with relevant Dartmouth policies. We work with the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship and other groups at the College who assist Dartmouth investigators and students in setting off on the road to entrepreneurship.
